Today we have a model 1892 in 25-20 cal. made in 1914. A nice rifle with octagon barrel and full magazine tube. The wood is in good shape and the blueing is mostly a brown patina { that's Winchester talk for very little bluing left} I've had it quite a while and do not regret getting it but I had to trade a Remington Model 25 pump in 32-20 and I sure wish I still had that. Sorry the pictures are not very good, I was just starting to take them when I got a call to go back to work and when 60 college girls tell you the toilets are broken you go!!

Wow ! Nice gun and what a decision! Do you load for 25-20 or 32-20? Have heard these are tough. I've been wanting( for some years) a Marlin 1894CL in 32-20 but fear of crushing all those delicate li'l bottle neck  cases has kept me from one. Marlin recently turned out a batch too.

KB, yes I do load 25-20 and 32-20, I also load 38-40 and 44-40. The brass is thin but the new Lee crimp dies help. Go slow, bell the mouth enought, and use the Lee FCD and should be no problem. This is the only 25-20 I have but have 2 32-20 and also a 218 Bee. I used to have a 22 hornet that also has thin brass.

Ok, got it . Thanks for the scoop. I've reloaded a little Hornet and yes I see what you mean. I've always thought 25-20, and 32-20 would be fine woods roaming rifles.
