Well five days into the new year, and I had to find a 4095 at a decent price. It even came with 3 magazines. It actually looks new and may have only been fired a couple of times. The bore is bright and shiny, the rifeling is sharp, the bolt face is clean, and there are no marks or scars on the stock that I saw. I don't think it was a truck gun. If anyone has any words of wisdom on shooting a 4095 I'd love to her them.

Send it up here and I'll let you know how it shoots! Nice grab!

MOST EXCELLENT!!! Great score Woody! Congrats! I sure like mine. FWIW, like everything I've heard on the 995 the 4095 seems to have few vices and tho' all I've shot is fmj it is not the least brand picky. CCI Blazer alum. is what I mostly have shot with a sprinkling of brass case. No failures of any kind yet.(300 rds +) I just put a comp on mine and that grooved bottom does take a 1" 22 tip off scope ring just dandy. Used one to mount a Surefire light. Congrats of the highest order to ya' !

Congrats Woody, I can only hope that some day I have some of your luck finding Hi-points. Thanks guys....Mxd I would love to let you break this thing in.....BUT it didn't come with a box for shipping. I have been searching since April of last year for a 4095 locally. I could have bought one on line, but I didn't want to pay shipping plus a $20 FFL fee. I don't exactly squeek when I walk, but I figure the extra money is better spent on ammunition.

I always thought that squeek was from your wheel chair?

That shipping cost and FFL fee adds up to a pretty high % of the value of guns in this price range.

Yep, around here I can get 150 rounds for what the fees and shipping would cost me. That is one of my pet peeves any way. If you buy ammunition on line you have to pay shipping plus Hasmat fees. If you buy a gun you have to pay shipping plus FFl fees....I understand the reasoning behind that, but I think people that have been thru all the investigations and were issued concealed carry permits should be able order one direct.

That is a good idea, but the gubermint would not go for it since there would be no record of it in your state. Oh yes, gun registration does not exist, we just want to know who bought the weapon. Idiot's!

A big +1 to that woody! I think it also goes for any new gun buys at stores! I shouldn't have to get a background check every dang time I buy a new gun! If I did something wrong since my renewal of my CCW then it would've been taken away and I wouldn't have it to buy that new gun! Not to mention a more thorough check of my background was done to intially get that CCW! Rant off...........for now

I would have no problem filling out a small form for the local fuzz.....It wouldn't take much. The guns make and model, and your card number. Around here they would just put it in file 16 anyway. All the local yokels are just glad to have the back up if they need it.
