What would make a good compact carry gun? I like wheelies and Dave's has a nice Rossi 38 snub for $240. My LGS here in town has a minty Bersa single stack 380 for the same $$ and to further muddy the waters I've noticed the Kel-Tec PF 9 and P-11 both NIB  for under $250 also. I owned a Bersa  22 years ago like the one here in 380 and it was a fine gun( even killed a groundhog w/it) the Rossi is a "known" quantity but KT pistols are new on my radar. Kinda like the Bersa myself, but...........?

Nothing against KT's persay, I've never shot one, but have handled them. Just too small for me. The Bersa Thunder series fits me well enough to carry one, as well as "smaller" wheels. I'm just not a big fan of "pocket" pistols I guess.

I like the wheelies too. The Bersa looks nice. Went in to TC  to look at the Bersa today and there was a guy telling of all the trouble he has w/ his KT. I'm not sure  yet..........?

Get a Bersa like mine that takes 15.  All you will need is another mag if you choose so you have 30 rounds.

Some of your thought should include just how concealed you want.

The bersa uc 45 I just got is very concealable but would not be front
pocket friendly, But from what I'm a hearing Colorado Gun Works is
trying to run their warrenty service Like Hi-points and thats what
sold me on the Bersa. Smiley

Well I Guess I kinda like It seeing how IT's replaced my PT111 Taurus as my
daily Carry, The only problem I've had with it is it's got 1 Helluva appitite
for ammo and my Die's haven't gotten here yet.
It is a sweet shooter for me and has taken the pain out of running to many
45's on the range trips.

Well you already know I'm a big fan of the KT's for EDC. But I alos like the Bersa's even though I don't own one.....yet! I rented one once and it shoots nice. But they're definitely heavier than the KT's. Which is more than likely why most people don't have as much trouble shooting them compared to the KT's. KT's can take some practice to handle correctly because of their weight IMO.

So I guess it's all a matter of what you plan on using it for really?

Looks like mine but the grips aren't as fat because of the double stack.  It's a great gun!  Fixed barrel and as Woody intimated, looks like his IJ.  They're all cloned off the Walther.  But cost a helluva lot cheaper.

The KTs are very light to be sure. Nice in the pocket. The Rossi 38 is the heaviest but as in all things there are compromises. Heavy usually means steel and steel often  means long trouble free life. But it's heavy.......... but .........

I hear ya KB...... It's all about what you want it for I guess? My thoughts on carrying my KT's is this.
I want something I can and "will" carry every day no matter what I'm doing. And my 12oz PF9 fit's that bill perfectly for me.
I can (and do) wear shorts and a T-shirt in flip flops all summer and still have my 9mm tucked safely and comfortably away inside my waist band.  Wink

And if I ever feel the need for even lighter I can always throw the P32 (8oz IIRC?) in a pocket with 10 rounds.  Cool
