Indeed. I gotta say too that again, I don't think this thing has had a round through it. I pulled the bolt and it still had grease/cosmo like substance on the locking lugs and in the chamber. Took Hopppes to get it off/out. No wear on the mag follower, bolt face, nothing. Little light dirt on a barrel patch, I'm assuming from standing muzzle up in the shop for awhile. I dunno. I'tll be shot tomorrow or Thurs. though for sure.

Indeed, I had to have woody fire to understand what he was telling me. 5 feet to the side and a touch forward, you feel it more than hear it. From the shooting position though, it's rather tame in recoil and noise for me. I shot (at) a ground hog from ~200yds out without hearing protection and it was not bad at all. I missed the damn thing cause I suck, but I can say that this is not a gun that you can watch the hit or bullet splash through the scope with. On a small critter like that, you need a spotter to know if it hit. I shot over I think. We were sighting at ~100 yds in the sand pits, then went to "hog town" to have a go. I put the cross hairs on it's throat, and let fly, but I think the bullet went right over his head. I'll see him again though in the future, bet on that.

It just takes a little time, practice and all to shoot long range. You'll get it on the nose after a little more trigger time.
