Welp, WTH, I had a fore end that I hated and was not using, so.......................................I hacked it!! Bolt open and space to keep anything from hanging in there. 6 round side saddle installed. Had to cut the fore end anyway so WTH. Left side Right side Crappy pics, but WTH, I'll take more later.

Not as much as it was with the "butt band" (you don't have to unshoulder) but it would be even less if you put the rounds in from the bottom. Then a simple pull down and shove in. Of course being lefty with them on the left side helps me. As it is with them in from the top, pull straight up and arch underneath. They are tight enough not to fall out, even if loaded from the bottom, but something a little unnerving about putting my face that close to the slug end of a round.

Mx, you need one. One other thing woody, it also seems to be not so butt heavy as before. The old stock was smaller physically, but quite a bit heavier, then add 5 rounds in the butt band. This stock is lighter, and the 6 rounds "in the middle" seem to balance it better. Even with a full tube and one in the chamber, the old setup felt heavy on the back end as opposed to now, but, then again, the pistol grip gives better leverage so maybe it's not really that much different, just "feels" like it. I'd rather hold 10 pounds of 2 foot long steel in the middle, than 5 from one end.
